In fast life today, it is not always possible to give time to regular hair care regime of oiling, shampooing and conditioning hair. Realizing this, Garnier has come up with a product which gives you the benefit of oiling + shampooing together.

Ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Niacinamide, Black Currant Seed Oil, Cocamide Mipa, Sugar Cane Extract, Salicyclic Acid, Camellia Sinesis Leaf Extract, Avocado Oil, Citric Acid, Methyl Cocoate, Shea Butter

Shelf Life: 3 Years from the date of manufacture

Directions of use: Apply on wet hair; gently massage to lather and rinse.

My Experience:

Like many people, I feel guilty if I do not oil my hair before washing. When I first saw the advertisement, I thought that oil + shampoo type of shampoo would just solve my problem of not oiling regularly and will provide nourishment like oil. And very soon, it occupied space in my bath cabinet. But my experience with this shampoo was not a great one. The shampoo has a very good and mild fragrance which lingers for a long time. It gives rich lather and really cleanses hair well leaving them soft. Till I applied shampoo everything was fine, when I started rinsing my hair, I was in a shock. Generally, my hair does not tend to break while washing. But, when I rinsed, I could see hair breaking to such an extent that I could not count them. I was scared seeing so much of hair fall. Then one shock followed the other. While drying and combing, the number of hair on floor multiplied. Even then I thought that may be its not because of this shampoo but because of change in shampoo and second wash onwards things will improve. With this hope, I gave it a second chance. But the other wash was equally bad. Then I realized that the shampoo was definitely not for my hair (dry scalp and oily hair). So I stopped using it after the bottle was one fourth over and consumed it in other ways. Summing it up, following are my personal likes and dislikes about this 2-in-1 oil + shampoo:

Likes:

1. Mild and pleasant fragrance.
2.Cleanses hair well and makes them shiny, soft and manageable.

Dislikes:

1. Hair fall after using this shampoo may scare you.
2. Surfactant based
3. I am really not sure how true the oiling part of it is.

Overall:

My dislikes for it are definitely more than my likes and weight heavier. I don’t think it is worth buying. I would rather go for other mild yet effective shampoos than this one. It adds to problem of hair fall, though, for remaining hair, it works fine.
