Google out "Water Purifiers".. and you get many thousand results!! And the confusion embarks.. what do I purcahse? Is it worth the money? Each one claims to be the best one.. the leader in the consumer market. Not long ago, I purchased the pureit marvella RO by Hindustan Unilever, and i should mention, it's 5 stage purification system with the awesome 9 litres storage capacity works wonderfully.
With its auto start, auto stop and purity lock systems, it surely qualifies for a must have.
However, it's nowhere even near Eureka Forbes, when it comes to customer service.
All in all, a good buy, and cost effective.

I have purchased a Pureit Marvella Water Filter in Dec 2010. As per the infoormation given on the Manual, we need to change the "Germ Kill Kit" (GKK) after every 2250 litres. Depending on the season and number of family members this GKK needs to be ordered through Marvella Pureit Customer Care via phone. Once our crequest / complaint has been registered the CC sends us a Complaint no or RFS via sms on the registered mobile no. However in my case after using the Water Purifier for almost 3 years every time I make a request call they ask me for my registered mobile no alongwith my secondary mobile no. When both the mobile numbers are provided the CC Executive informs me that I am not registered with them as yet. I have ordered a GKK on 29th June 2013 at 9.00 am. and subsequently an sms was received by me at 09.36 am giving me the RFS no 3048200, and mentioned that the GKK will be delivered within 72 hours, if not you will get a GKK free. Logically 72 hrs got over on 2nd July2013, and hence I made a follow up call to Marvella CC and the Service provider (Taj Services) in this case and was told that the GKK would be replaced by 15.00 hrs on 2nd July. After almost 10-15 calls since 2nd July'13, today @ 16.04 hrs I still do not have the GKK, and when I call the CC n the Service Provider they only have to say "We totally understand the inconvenience caused and ur matetter will be taken up immediately. When I said to both parties that since the stipulated 72 hrs have passed by and no GKK replaced, now when the person comes with the GKK I will only pay 35-40/-,they are committing to accept it. ITHis is not just once in awhile story, I have to follow up every single time(3 months). I M TOTALLY DISGUSTED WITH THE SERVICES OF PUREIT MARVELLA. IT IS NO MORE MARVELLOUS.

The Service guy came in promptly within the next 24 hours and started installing the unit. I was first surprised that there is an additional primary filter (wall unit) that also has to be installed which is not shown anywhere in the ads/ showroom. The guy installed the unit in 30 minutes and left a 3 feet long pipe for the dirty water to flush out just loosely dangling in the Kitchen sink, and went . Luckily there was an SMS that required me to give a feedback of service that arrived on my phone and I sent an SMS confirming my dissatisfaction with the installation. The service guy returned all grumpy the next day and asked why I was not satisfied; I told him I wanted the exit pipe removed from the sink, neatly fixed on the wall and taken out of the kitchen- he looked at me irritated; so I got my drilling machine and told him how it should be done, by drilling a small hole in the kitchen window frame. He completed the job and left in 15 minutes as per my instructions. On the 25th of May, exactly a month after purchase, I had to rush to the Kitchen as the water was over flowing rapidly from the tank inside and flowing down onto the kitchen cabinet, I quickly turned the cut-off valve, switched off the unit, drained the water in the tank into vessels from the kitchen and called the helpline 18601801000 at about 4:36.p.m.I gave a complaint on the issue. Within 48 hours there was this service guy with a dark blue shirt who came, walked into the kitchen and started asking me questions; I explained that water was flowing down the unit when switched on- he nodded his head and said "It cannot happen- can you tell me exactly what happened". So I repeated the same story. I could not switch on the Unit since we live in Chennai and exactly at that time there was not water supply. Anyways , he next started to man-handle the unit; 2 hard taps on the side, one shake and a yank and the unit came off the wall. He twirled the unit like a magician, pulled out a screw driver and started opening the back. I was totally irritated by this time, 'cause I had paid nearly 15000/- rupees for this unit and I was sure he was going to break something by the way he was handling it. Anyways he opened it...yanked out the tank, asked me if water was coming from a pressure pump. I said "Yes"... and also mentioned that I had told the sales person the same when buying the unit. He shook his head. He did some adjustments, closed the unit and said he had done some adjustments and the Unit "might" be okay; he was not sure since water supply was not there. But gave me his number and said I could call him if it leaked again. Sure enough, I switched on the unit when power came on and IT LEAKED! I called him, he mentioned that he would send a technician the next day. ...No one turned up for 2 days... So I called the 1800 number again and registered a complaint since magically the technician had "closed" the complaint. Since then I have registered 3 additional complaints - on 27th May, 31st May and 1st June, 2013. Till date NOT a single service guy has come. I think this is a great product, but the service support personnel (who I think might be 3rd party Outsourced personnel) are just F*(*(*G incompetent, arrogant, morons who have either NOT been trained to handle customers by Unilever, which is surprising. I wanted to escalate the matter to the Service Manager at the helpdesk; however I was put on hold (by Vignesh. Helpdesk executive ) for 15 minutes since "Manager is Busy, Sir"....he finally did not even come over or return my call. I would strongly suggest that the Hindustan Unilever people REALLY get their act together and make sure L1 support issues are resolved. I am not sure if they have a process in place to identify Outsourced personnel, recruit L1 support staff and provide adequate training. For customers wanting to purchase the product- Its a great Product; but God help you if you have an issue. You know that there is a big market for water purifiers in India. There are many companies who are supplying water purifiers with 100 % assurance and 100 % gurantee on purity. It is very difficult to choose any one water purifier.

There is also not a big difference with all purifiers but i am using Marvella Ro PureIt. Which has worked best for me

Water tastes well even if the water is hard...this brand is making good purifiers. After all this if you are getting any problem you can also contact to it company directly they will guide you any how or and time.

Till today I never got any problem in my purifier.

This is not merely a feed back but I'm trying to share my true experience through it. I'm living in an area where the water supply is too bad. It's hard yellowish water with lot of iron in it. None of us could even think of using it just like that. But, what could be the solution to this, is what worried me most.

Initially, I tried boiling the water but it always left a white film sort of thing and the water never tasted that good. Then, I tried the steel filter but that too did not work. For a long time I used packaged water but that was so costly that it started pinching my pocket.

Then, I installed one very popular brand but still it did'nt work. Then, I searched the web and social websites and here I got very good reviews for 'unilever pure it'. So, I went ahead and got it installed and since then my water problem is solved. Now not only the water tastes good but the health of the family members has improved so definitely it's healty water. Moreover it's unique 15 days alert system helps in alerting that the time to change has come.

All those who care for their family should go for it.

Pureit Marvell Ro Is An Excellent Water Purifier Which Also Improves The Taste Of The Water

I bought the Pureit Classic water purifier when I got married and used it for three years with great satisfaction. I didn't opt for the RO water purifier then because my apartment get the BWSSB water which is potable for drinking and cooking purposes. So when we bought a new flat that didn't have the BWSSB connection for water supply but depended on water tankers from private suppliers we opted for the Marvella RO range. It functions really well and with indicators for power, storage tank , carbon and sediment filter and RO membrane it helps me put away my worries about drinking water. I have a small baby at home and babies do not have very high immunity and hence it becomes imperative to ensure that they get to drink pure water. Pureit Marvell RO is an excellent water purifier which also improves the taste of the water. I recommend it to one and all.

A lot of friends of mine use Pure-it and we are about to get it installed at our Office premises as well.
The best part is that Marvella RO is one of the best systems and quite as much beats Eureka Forbes's Aqua Guard. I have seen almost each and every model of Pure-IT in reality and found Marvella to be good enough for homes and offices.

However there needs to be a more expert approach then just selling standardized products, there must be a customized approach with customers who feel it more personal that way. Let an expert visit the place of installation to check the actual TDS and water quality and then recommend a solution. The expert should even be bold enough to tell the concerned person whether a Pure-IT would be a good solution or even not for the particular water type.

All in all I am happy with this product.

I was confused about which water purifier to buy with options ranging from HLL's Pureit to Eureka Forbes to Kent. Finally I settled down for HLL's Pureit Marvella because of the trust I have developed over the years with Hindustan Unilever's products. But it seems that HLL has got it's priority wrong with the launch of Pureit. It has spent more money on advertisement than on building a good product. The unit I bought developed problems with two months of purchase and the after sales service technicians acted like moron trying to identify the problem. They came up with the excuse that water was very bad and not good for filtering. I put up with their nonsense for six months and then bought a Eureka Forbes purifier. Not only is their product better their customer service is also prompt.

I purchased this product just 6 months before on the base of its Presentation, looks , Brand name and Price, but it withstand on none of these factors... In these 6 months I have launched more then 8 complaints regarding Water Leakage or it have stopped pumping water.. every time his engineer fixed the problems temporary due to lack of knowledge and not technically sound ... and now within 6 months it have stopped filtering water and taste of water have drastically gone down, without any indication of lamps as claimed by company....and when I tried to book complain they are asking for 75 bucks for engineer visit........... please do not buy this product as they are new in market and have less experience of water treatment as compared to other Brands such as KENT which is just little bit costlier the Marvella.. ...

Pureit marvella RO is the best Ro in the market, as we all knowz about its quality, it give you the fresh n pure water n also with the automatic start n automatic stop feature which rearly have in other purifiers have, it design n shape make it look more attractive soo you can placed it anywhere it doesn't look awkword, n its 15 days before replacement alarm feature is seriously awsome, for a persone like me who installed it n forget about its kit replace, so it is seriously very good n attractive feature in this purifier.

Hul Pure it marvella ro is a great ro water purifier. The best thing about it is that it is energy efficient as it does not run on electricity. It requires maintainance as the filtering candle or equipment, whatever they call it, present inside the filter has to be changed from time to time. So a price of rs 600 to 800 has to be payed after every few months. But that is better than payin huge electriicity bills. Pure it has launched a 2crore challange , which still stands unbeaten. It purifies water through several stages and removes all types of impurities like odour too.

it is a really good purifier..with easy installation..good water quality..it has a 5 stage purifying system..i live in delhi ncr..and the water hear contains lots of salts..so i needed a proper RO system..my friend suggested this..as it was cost-effective also..i bought this and was really impressed..it did decrease ion content to an extent in my water..ion content is good for body but only to a certain extent..service and support is also very good..disadvantage is that you will have to change chlorine filters every 6 months..but overall it will be a good experience using it..

this water purifier we got it for our mom on mothers day.she was extremely happy and overjoyed on seeing this product.and told us she would be very glad to have product like this in future.it not only gives you clean and pure water but is a million dollar gift for one who owns it.it is a must buy for everyoine.special preventive measures are taken for children.

PureIT Marvella RO is really a good ware purifier. It is one of the best products available in the market. It is available on affordable rates. It protects the minerals of water from destroying. It has the storage capacity of 9L. It has World Class germ kill safety, and also has End of life indicator. It has thin film composite spiral wound membrane which purifies the water and makes it safe for drinking purpose. It is durable and long life water purifier. The design of this product is awesome. It has many other features like Auto safety lock, Automatic Storage etc. it is easy to install it.

The pureIT marvella was a good product until I had to call in the technical support for its maintenance and its been a downhill journey eversince. They have no idea whatthey need to do or how to do and ended up messing with the purifier

This is sabarish from hyderabad, i am also using pure it since 2yrs,but wasn't impressed by your service and the worst part is 4 days back i have given a complaint that my pure it not working and asked for service.they said that we will attend you by the next 48 hrs but until now my problem wasn't solved.but they send a message that your complaint no:c134968382 has been solved and give your feedback,i given 0 feedback, by then onwards they are not even attending my call also the service boy named santhosh has always been saying that iam coming, iam coming but wouldn't ,if i asked for battery replace then they will come with in the day itself but not for servicing because for battery they will get money that's why.

Pure It- water filter purifies water and makes water as safe as boiling water. I am a resident of kolkata(behala) and our area is affected with jaundice. It has been seen that people using pure it are the only healthy people in our locality. Observing these i went to the shop, bought it, and started using it. No doubt it is the best water filter of today. Are u still using other filters???

He completed the job and left in 15 minutes as per my instructions. On the 25th of May, exactly a month after purchase, I had to rush to the Kitchen as the water was over flowing rapidly from the tank inside and flowing down onto the kitchen cabinet, I quickly turned the cut-off valve, switched off the unit, drained the water in the tank into vessels from the kitchen and called the helpline 18601801000 at about 4:36.p.m.I gave a complaint on the issue. Within 48 hours there was this service guy with a dark blue shirt who came, walked into the kitchen and started asking me questions; I explained that water was flowing down the unit when switched on- he nodded his head and said "It cannot happen- can you tell me exactly what happened". So I repeated the same story. I could not switch on the Unit since we live in Chennai and exactly at that time there was not water supply. Anyways , he next started to man-handle the unit; 2 hard taps on the side, one shake and a yank and the unit came off the wall. He twirled the unit like a magician, pulled out a screw driver and started opening the back. I was totally irritated by this time, 'cause I had paid nearly 15000/- rupees for this unit and I was sure he was going to break something by the way he was handling it. Anyways he opened it...yanked out the tank, asked me if water was coming from a pressure pump. I said "Yes"... and also mentioned that I had told the sales person the same when buying the unit. He shook his head. He did some adjustments, closed the unit and said he had done some adjustments and the Unit "might" be okay; he was not sure since water supply was not there. But gave me his number and said I could call him if it leaked again. Sure enough, I switched on the unit when power came on and IT LEAKED! I called him, he mentioned that he would send a technician the next day. ...No one turned up for 2 days... So I called the 1800 number again and registered a complaint since magically the technician had "closed" the complaint. Since then I have registered 3 additional complaints - on 27th May, 31st May and 1st June, 2013. Till date NOT a single service guy has come. I think this is a great product, but the service support personnel (who I think might be 3rd party Outsourced personnel) are just F*(*(*G incompetent, arrogant, morons who have either NOT been trained to handle customers by Unilever, which is surprising. I wanted to escalate the matter to the Service Manager at the helpdesk; however I was put on hold (by Vignesh. Helpdesk executive ) for 15 minutes since "Manager is Busy, Sir"....he finally did not even come over or return my call. I would strongly suggest that the Hindustan Unilever people REALLY get their act together and make sure L1 support issues are resolved. I am not sure if they have a process in place to identify Outsourced personnel, recruit L1 support staff and provide adequate training. For customers wanting to purchase the product- Its a great Product; but God help you if you have an issue. A Great Water Purifier Which Is Only Brought Down By Their Incompetent Customer Care Service

Gone are the days where there was only one brand for water purifiers and we had to settle for it. After the explosion of water purifiers in the market, there have been quite a number of innovations all for the sake of making the normal tap water fit for drinking. I recently purchased the pureit marvella RO by Hindustan Unilever, and i must say that i realised the difference between normal tap water and the filtered water almost instantly.

The build quality is excellent and the body is made of food grade, non toxic, engineering grade plastic. Not only does it effectively filter water, it also has a number of other features like Auto Start, Auto Start Stop, Purity Lock System.

The marvella also claims the highest level of TDS removal. The only issues I have is with after sale services as they downright suck. The technical representative is sometimes as late as 7-12 days late to adress the problem and when they do come they lack the neccessary expertise to properly diagnose the problem and efficiently solve it.

I bought the Pureit Marvello RO Unit from Viveks, Chennai on 27th, April, 2013. Very Impressed with the reviews and the fact that it was backed by the "Unilever" brand name. The Service guy came in promptly within the next 24 hours and started installing the unit. I was first surprised that there is an additional primary filter (wall unit) that also has to be installed which is not shown anywhere in the ads/ showroom. The guy installed the unit in 30 minutes and left a 3 feet long pipe for the dirty water to flush out just loosely dangling in the Kitchen sink, and went . Product is also good and I feel PureIT service is also good. Some people may not like the taste of purified water with pureIT as it gives some salty taste, but if it use to often you will get used to it.

Recently I purchased RO system from UF. The only reason is the after sales service of EF. I feel no matter how good products your provide, it is also very important that the after sales service should not be a burden for the consumers. Secondly, i've tried water of kent, and there is a drastic change in the taste of water. PureIT Marvella RO also has the same problem: It alters the taste of water. I live in Mumbai and tried both Ken RO and PureIT Marvella RO but found Eureka Forbes better than both and to add to it, EF has better customer service as well.

Unilever Pureit RO is a new product in market but has certain advantages and disadvantages compared to Kent RO.

Best feature of Pureit RO is its 15-day advance warning system before the RO membrane shuts off which is not available in Kent RO. Another thing Pureit RO has it has got voltage spike guard which is important for country like India which has voltage fluctuations problems.

Kent RO has been in this business from before and its been established as quiet a good brand but still Kent RO price Rs.15,900 is higher than Pureit RO price Rs.13,900.

Comparing technical advantages and price, Pureit RO is better choice I must say.


No Regular Cleaning Required And It Is Effective

Been a regular use of pureIT water filter classic. But the main problem is cleaning the carbon part which has to be done almost daily that too lot of pressure has to be applied with the pump for cleaning. If not done for even a single day water doesn't get filtered at all. Other wise it is handy but wat is the use? So we went for Marvella RO and so far life has been much easier. No regular leaning required and it is effective.

I purchased this product just 6 months before on the base of its Presentation, looks , Brand name and Price, but it withstand on none of these factors... In these 6 months I have launched more then 8 complaints regarding Water Leakage or it have stopped pumping water.. every time his engineer fixed the problems temporary due to lack of knowledge and not technically sound ... and now within 6 months it have stopped filtering water and taste of water have drastically gone down, without any indication of lamps as claimed by company....and when I tried to book complain they are asking for 75 bucks for engineer visit........... please do not buy this product as they are new in market and have less experience of water treatment as compared to other Brands such as KENT which is just little bit costlier the Marvella.. ...

I am using this product at my home and it's great as it purifies water to a very clean state. It utilizes no electricity and make the water absolutely pure. Kent RO is also good but makes the water taste sour which no one likes. Pureit water purifier makes the taste of water absolutely as it was before. It cleans the water to the maximum extent. It is also affordable for any middle class person. So, I think that no one can beat this RO based water purifier.

Impurities in water will cause serius probelm to us. PureIT Marvella RO is one of the cheapest Ro purifier. It is used to remove the rust, heavy metals and excess salt from the water to give pure and tasty water. The UV purifiers are also available in the market with cheaper than this one. But we didn't get the taste of it. RO membrane has been tested to the better permance in purity process. The 5 stage filtering system and the alarm for changing the membrane features are helpful for us to maintain the purity of the water.

Have Used Kent in my home in Bangalore.Had found it to give a good taste.I thought of recommending it to my friends but when i happen to drink the salty water in Chennai sterilized by Unilever Pure i happen to know that its better than Kent .Because Chennai produces salty water which purification really requires extra sensible purification process in order to deliver drinking consumption of water quality which i happened to find it.Now i recommend the purifier to be bought at least get a compulsory demo.

I Personally use the Pureit water filter at home, and got to say the water really looks clean and sparkling. As in our locality there's a normal complain for water to be a bit yellowish color (God knows for what reason), but not at my home :). Wish it had a cooling system inside, as I prefer to drink cold water, would have save the hassle for me to get it cooled in my fridger ;)

The most important feature for the home user when it comes to filters is not the technology but the service.
While it is great to have the latest filtration technology, it is more important to keep the filter operational which requires regular service, so i really like the 15 day advance alert. However one would like PureIt to improve the service and responsiveness to the kind that some of its biggest competitors have.

The RO from PureIT is a perfect mixture of style and functioning. It is very easy to install but you will surely need a person for the same who is good in such work. it does the filtering work well. The water quality after filtering is very good. This is bulky but you needn't carry it anywhere.
